Waredaca Classic Three-Day Event

🫶 Eventing truly takes a village and this weekend Waredaca Classic Three Day Event truly embodies that fact. The preparation of horse and rider, the dedication of owners, riders, family members, friends, volunteers, clinicians and organizers are all needed to pull it off… and what a weekend it was! Everyone involved was full of enthusiasm for the sport and for soaking up as much knowledge, experience and camaraderie as a person could in four days.

The competition was stiff and exciting but I believe the experience alone was well worth the all the effort for anyone who was able to take part. This is truly an experience that I believe should be a part of every event rider’s journey; helping to build a strong foundation not only for the actual riding experience that is gained but also a strong sense of responsibility to the horse’s wellbeing as well that of your fellow competitors.

I want to congratulate all of the enthusiastic participants who were full of curiosity and determination; some them long-time students, some smiling faces I met this weekend… EVERYONE did an amazing job and hopefully walked away with a new love and appreciation for their horses and our wonderful sport!

I would also like to add a very special congratulations to Emmy Kasley pictured with her amazing and supportive parents, who enthusiastically play an essential role. Emerson has worked so hard this last year to really forge a strong partnership with Vinny and they had a really stellar weekend!

10/20-23: Waredaca Classic Three-Day & Horse Trials (Laytonsville, MD)

* Emerson Kasley with Global Venture: 26th in Novice Three-Day

Peter Gray Clinic Schedule & Notes

Below is the FINAL schedule for October 9-10’s clinic with Peter Gray. While the riding slots are filled, we are welcoming auditors to the farm for the two days. To sign up to audit, please register via Strider.

When parking at the farm, PLEASE stay on gravel. All this rain has made for some squishy ground and we don’t want mud where there doesn’t need to be any. Also, while we loves dogs (and have plenty to prove it), please leave your own dog home for the day.

MDHT III & Area II Championships

Well done Julie & Emerson on surviving (and doing well!) in what we can only describe as EPIC rain this weekend!!

  • Julie Augustine with Texas Riddle: 11th in Novice Championships
  • Emerson Kasley with Global Venture: 4th in Jr. Open Novice
Julie in the rain!
