Old Tavern & Marlborough HT

The team had a great weekend between Old Tavern and Marlborough (this was Katie & Jax’s second win in a row!) Haley did a great job holding Brew’s hand through his first ‘big atmosphere’ show and Claire completed her first event with her new horse! AND while everyone else was out showing, Ray and Margaret took to the trails to explore the Patuxent River State Park down the road. Perfect barn family weekend!

CDCTA Fall HT & Marlborough Results

Great job Emerson on your 3rd place in Novice Rider at Marlborough! Love this video of you both! And getting out in the rainy weather last week paid off for Claire and Julie at CDCTA. Congrats to both on good results (and everyone knows you don’t get rainbows without a little rain!)

Seneca Valley PC & More Waredaca!

9/3-4: Seneca Valley Pony Club Fall Horse Trials (Poolesville, MD)

  • Kelley with her own Valfreyja: 12th in Novice Horse (This was Freyja’s first Novice, and she really seemed to click in on XC and decide that it was really fun! The dressage and show jumping will come along, but this BIG mare is really starting to enjoy event horse life.)
  • Barbara Miller with Mighty Ambitious: 6th in Open Training-2 (Barbara and Mighty have been through the ringer over the past two years dealing with a variety of issues, but they returned to Training level this weekend with a lot of success!)
  • Haley Miller with He’s True Brew: 13th in Novice Rider (How do we nicely say that Brew was a turd butt on XC!? AHHH horses!)

8/26: Waredaca Starter Event (Laytonsville, MD)

  • Katie Mayo with Mr. Mayhem: 1st in Open Novice (Katie has meticulously rehabbed “Jax” from an injury, and was rewarded with a fun romp around Waredaca. Check out those knees in the great video!)
